Case: Entertainment Venue Security Planning
Client Challenge
In the wake of the October 1, 2017 mass shooting at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, a large resort developer in Latin America grew concerned about the risk of mass casualty events at two large high-profile entertainment venues on his resort properties.
Banyan Risk Group’s corporate security risk mitigation experts conducted security assessments at the two high-risk venues with the goal of identifying potential vulnerabilities to any mass casualty events including shootings, explosive devices, and chemical, biological, and radiological attack scenarios. Banyan personnel conducted extensive on-site visits of both venues to assess their vulnerabilities and developed an extensive array of mitigation strategies to drastically reduce the risk of mass casualty events from occurring at each venue.
