ACCOUNT DIRECTOR

Banyan Risk Group has an exciting and immediate opening for an Account Director role in the West Palm Beach, Florida area.

The Account Director will have significant input into building this role for this particular Client partnering with the Banyan leadership team. This role will implement a wide variety of enterprise risk management strategies including the following: close protection, travel risk and advisory, intelligence operations, physical security, digital security, brand and reputation security, crisis management planning and operations, risk assessments, threat risk profile development, security technology, asset protection, social media monitoring, establishing security protocols, procedures and more.

The candidate will be directly supported by a dedicated intelligence analyst as well as other subject matter experts within the Banyan team. This position will report directly to the Managing Director of Operations.

Within the Banyan Team, integrity, discretion and professionalism are not negotiable. The Account Director must have an extensive risk management career and served in leadership roles. The Account Director should have exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with the Client and with other supporting team members. This is a high touch account and exceptional customer experience is our expectation.

This is a full-time position with benefits and requires the candidate to live near the West Palm Beach, FL area.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all security efforts necessary for the Client specifically the Client’s personal, physical and digital security programs.

  • Engage daily with Client and staff, professionally and as a team.
  • Deliver exceptional Client customer service.
  • Partner with the dedicated Banyan Intelligence Analyst to prepare country risk reports, threat matrix profiles, light due diligence, and general risk advisory services.
  • Travel domestically and internationally as Client security requires. (~25% of year)
  • Travel as needed to conduct advance visits to event and venue sites as well as coordinating with local, state, federal and international security stakeholders.
  • Plan, prepare and brief travel risk advisory updates to Client.
  • Prepare and manage Client and staff security training.
  • Foster team cohesion and address issues in an objective and transparent manner leaving no friction unattended to nor any issue unresolved or reporting these upwards for assistance in their resolution.
  • Ensure the performance and discipline of assigned or supporting personnel to prescribed standards and report poor performance to management.
  • Constantly evaluate and reevaluate areas of improvement to bolster security and safety measures.
  • Advise and partner with key company leadership to deliver a strong analytical approach in identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining the highest standards in protective security strategies.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments by developing methods and requirements to standardize, analyze, communicate and mitigate potential threats.
  • Directly monitors and conducts assessments of vendor compliance to established security requirements, licensing, training and effectiveness of 3rd party security vendors.
  • Contribute to the team effort by offering expertise and opinions to senior management; integrating objectives with other functions; accomplishing special projects as needed, sometimes as project lead and other times as a contributing team member.
  • Build relationships and improve business processes to identify stakeholder needs, continuous gap analysis, and enhance security culture.
  • Support special events and other activities by establishing action plans, timetables, and outcome measurements; obtaining and allocating resources; reviewing progress; making course corrections or performing other duties as needed.
  • Achieve financial goals by establishing objectives; developing and monitoring budgets; controlling and reducing costs; optimizing use of company assets.
  • Act as a first responder to any emergencies or suspicious activities.
  • Must be physically fit, presentable and able to stand long amounts of time while maintaining high alertness and situational awareness for extended periods.
  • Exercise sound operational judgment, as well as flexibility to shifting priorities and challenges.
  • Highly motivated, open mindset, disciplined and positively inclined attitude.
  • Must have flexible availability to work potential holidays, nights and weekends with the ability to travel outside the US.
  • Able to use a personal computer and have working knowledge of applications (Outlook, Word, Powerpoint and Excel) and proprietary databases and tools.
  • Report all incidents, accidents, or emergencies immediately to the Managing Director or CEO.
  • Will be required to sign a confidentiality & non-disclosure agreement.

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior specialized military, government or law enforcement experience.
  • Prior specialized training in intelligence operations, emergency medicine, defensive tactics and arresting techniques, close protection, tactical firearms, driving and others.
  • International experience working inside of or with the staff of a US Embassy or Consulate.
  • Masters Degree.
